Possibly the weirdest location for a downhill venue with gondola access. The Telepherique du Saleve operates from its own motorway service area overlooking Geneva and the Saleve mountain is home to a network of trails dug by locals over the years and used by many local racers as a winter training ground.
There
are a range of long tracks (it's normally a half hour
descent) with a great variety, all however get much steeper towards the
bottom and pretty much every type of surface and technical challenge
can be found somewhere at La Saleve.
A Cafe at the top gives amazing views over Geneva while you get some coffee in you for one last run!
The Search Daytrip Price: 60 euros
Lift Pass Price: 6.30 euros per run
*La Saleve offers a discount by way of purchasing a book of ten tickets for 55 euros. As the runs are so long most people are spent after 5/6 runs so although it seems expensive it's not so bad if you split a book between two riders.
Open all the time.
