Pila is a name everyone has heard of
and we've all seen
the video's of Sam Hill's first World
Cup win there. It's
closer
to the Portes du Soliel than you think so during July and August The
Search will be running a regular trip to Pila every Wednesday.
We are running these trips on wednesdays to fit in with the
normal day off for chalet staff, as we will probably be a bit later
getting back you won't get into trouble for being late for dinner...
There is a lot more to Pila than just the world cup track though, they have invested in several 'freeride' trails that all have a different feel and interlink with each other and the world cup track giving loads of options. To finish the day you can ride the 20 minute track back down to Aoste, an absolute classic run with pretty much every type of obstacle and terrain type you can think of...
More lifts are supposed to open later in the season offering even more scope for riding.

Lift pass: 15.50 euros per day (a half day pass is also available for 10.50)
