Downhill Daytrips from Morzine/Les Gets, France
Welcome to The Search 2009 Website:
Like riding downhill mountainbikes in the Portes du Soleil?
But wish you could have the trails to yourself, the braking bumps ironed flat and the challenge of some new tracks without scrabbling through the bushes looking for a not so secret trail?
Why not take a day out of your holiday in the Portes du Soleil to experience a little more of what the Alps has to offer?
More and more of the lift stations are opening up to bikes in the summer months but many cannot offer enough riding to satisfy you for a full weeks holiday so why not just visit for a day and see where the locals ride and race.
We offer day trips to the less well known downhill tracks within striking distance of the Portes du Soleil and some of the more famous resorts where your downhill dreams can come true.
The regular venues we visit offer something for every budget and riding style, free-ride or full on race tracks used in regional series. We will pick you up from your chalet, transport you to the trail centre of your choice and show you around the official trails and then drop you back in time for a night out, where you can brag about railing smooth berms and picking your way over technical tracks that haven't become a one-line rut! Go to the Daytrips page for more details.
And now in 2009 we are also running long-weekend breaks that take in several of these resorts from our base deep in the mountains, so if one day with The Search isn't enough you can now take in four days of intensive riding accessed by chairlift, pedals and shuttle vehicle. Check out the Weekenders page for all the info.
